PLEASE DON'T GIVE UP YOUR DOG DUE TO BEHAVIOR PROBLEMS!!!
Being a dog owner and becoming a certified dog trainer due to my own dog's bad behavior problems, (I understand what you are going through! ) this is a topic dear to my heart. As of 10/13/07--in the last 2 weeks-- I have heard of 5 different dogs, all less than a year old (which the owners paid a great deal for) being given away or turned over to parish pounds due to lack of training. Please understand, the dog didn't realize they were doing anything wrong, the owner wasn't aware of what to do to correct bad behavior and instead of seeking help, tossed the dog aside. Imagine if you were given away or turned over to a strange home because your "parent" didn't let you know what they expected from you and spoke a foreign language. How would you feel? Please understand I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings or step on any toes, but I beg you, please seek training and work with your dog before considering other alternatives! The sooner the better! Don't let a cute puppy do what you don't want an adult dog to do. Owning a dog is a big responsibility not to be taken lightly. Your dog
has a purpose in your life. Please treat this
purpose with tender loving care. A dog can
change your life forever! Blessings to you and
